On the plus side, library use is increasing. Yay job security!
I'd also like to point out product service systems. Because I would personally love to see a jigsaw puzzle lending library. Patrons can check out one puzzle per month (750 pieces and over), more for those kids puzzles with like 20 huge pieces that form the shape of Dora the Explorer. You pay $.50 for each missing piece. There are few things I hate more than missing puzzle pieces.
SPEAKING OF PUZZLES!
I got this one for Christmas. It's pretty Amazing.
I miss going to the Monrovia Public Library mostly because they always have a puzzle in the adult section that I attempt unsuccessfully to finish by myself in one day.
If APL ever decides to display a puzzle somewhere for patrons to put together...it's the end of me and the aforementioned job security.
This is all!

I wanted to get puzzles for my section, but I was outvoted b/c there's such a huge stigma abt us NOT being "an afterschool daycare."...anywho, I'm curious: How can you tell if a puzzle piece is missing when it's returned? Do you have to count the pieces? I really want to know...
Tera! I guess in reality you would have to count the pieces to check for missing ones. In my fantasy puzzle library world, we would have a puzzle piece counting machine, sort of like the ticket counters at Chuck E. Cheese's and the like. Or you can do it by weight...
I'd love to see puzzles at libraries, but I imagine they'd get pretty beaten up in a short amount of time.
