Last night's Electoral College coloring project is just two states away from final!I wanted to do it while the results were coming in, but i had work til nine, by which time things were already decided.
I was, however, tipped off of the outcome from a patron who was on her cellphone (tsktsk) in the Children's Room. This is what i overheard:
Lady: Yeah, i'm at the library...WHAT? ...yeah. Are you home now? ....HUH? You are? ....oh. Did you vote yet? [Voting had been over for about 15 minutes by this time] Oh. Well it doesn't matter because [This is the best part..] i heard that guy already won. That black guy.
So yeah, i'm a little concerned about the American public if some still refer to one of the presidential candidates (and by that time, president-elect) as "that black guy."
I'm still waiting though. Blue or red blue or red my colored pencils are sharpened and ready.
