I once heard of someone who bartered their way from a paperclip to a house.
I also heard about a restaurant whose owner doesn't accept money in exchange for food, but services, like mowing her lawn, or fixing her car.
This weekend, I successfully bartered a skinny black tie for a new iPod Shuffle. Granted, the circumstances were heavily in my favor. But it was awesome nonetheless.
I think I'd like to barter for goods. A book for a jacket, a fruit tree for an old 8-track recorder. It would be interesting to see how people value certain things. I'd elaborate, but I'm pretty tuckered out from all the myspace partying I've been doing. If there are websites out there for bartering, please let me know. =)
This is all.
EDIT: I found a good site to start off with. BarterBee.com. Swap movies, music, and games. I'm sure there are book swapping sites out there too....yup! Bookmooch.com.
