I'm slowly getting the hang of this whole blog thing. I've had a Livejournal for years, but I think Blogger is more user-friendly, and much easier to personalize, of which I've done a bit...
The top picture is an Andy Goldsworthy creation. He uses natural objects to create (usually) temporary pieces within their found environment. Here's a video of some of his pieces from the documentary "Rivers and Tides."
My side bar has some new additions...I wanted to link each book suggestion to the library's online catalog, just in case someone was interested in borrowing it, but once in place, the links wouldn't work.
Oh well, I linked them to google books instead.
I also added a few of my RSS feeds! Oooh foreshadowing of Week 3 tasks....

So I didn't think I was cultured enough to like art, but apparently I am thanks to your youtube link to that guy. I guess what he does is like what I do with snow angels and sand castles, building temporary pieces within their environment. Now I'm inspired! I just might go and only mow part of my lawn with my initials!
